France 2009
After my former company decided to send all of our project employes on forced vacation, I went two wounderful weeks traveling Swiss and France by car, with the bicycle and the tent in the boot. Met my friends from the India journey again on the Bodenseerücken - party! Afterwards, I drove on to France, passed the woods of Franche Comte and the wine areas and nice old towns of Bourgogne. I visited castles along the Loire river and slept beside an abandoned ancient farm house. Wide country France. Heading slowly towards Bretagne to visit Werner, another fellow from the India journey in his cottage. Swimming in the sea, harvesting mussles and eating them. Cycling the steep coast roads of Bretagne feels as hard as climbing mountains. Please visit http://www.mastersong.de/val_andre_holiday/ for information on this guest house.
An hours car ride away, on the border between Normandie and Bretagne, the famous Mount Saint Michel rises from the Canal Sea. Arrived there at sunrise, well before the crowds appear. The unspoiled tranquil scenery is definitly worth getting up early!
Two nights on Plouharnel beach in Southern Bretagne, watching lovely sunsets and visiting ancient dolmes on the coast. Wonderful splendid time!
